I have always been fascinated with flowers. They’re my go-to gift every time there’s a celebration that calls for it—birthdays, anniversaries, promotions, and a few more times, grand openings.

It partly explains why I am a staple in many flower shops in Singapore and if you ask me for recommendations, I can point you to some of my favourites, thanks to the great customer service they provide. Over the years, however, the tides have changed, and I became busy with work. My trips to flower shops became few until it came to the point where it’s not possible to squeeze them into my time at all.

It’s when I knew that if I wanted to get my floral fix, I’d have to resort to ordering flowers online. As hesitant as I was, all my doubts evaporated when I found out that one of the flower shops I frequent to offers their services online as well.

This online flower shop in Singapore offers as many—if not more—flowers than they have in their stores. But, what really impressed me is that not only do they provide the freshest blooms in town, but they also include extra valuable add-ons to make a gift more special.

Previously, I ordered from them a flower bouquet and wine gift set to surprise my wife on her birthday. The bouquet consists of 3 stalks of sunflowers and some other blooms I can’t name. But, the highlight of the gift—at least for me—was the ice wine.

I can still recall how she told me that as soon as she saw the bursting colour of the sunflowers, it instantly washed off her stress from working all day. She also praised the delivery guy who was courteous and patient. She told me that she wasn’t able to receive it immediately as she was in a meeting when the delivery came in her office. Good thing, the delivery guy waited patiently to hand over my gift.

If you’re like me who think the tradition of giving flowers never gets old, I suggest you order flowers from Xpressflower. I’ve always been a fan of this Singapore florist and it was a relief that they have an online presence, too.

It’s the first time I’m sharing this but, I actually tried looking for non-flower gifts—to no avail. So, the flowers I sent to my wife was somehow an impromptu gift and it’s a great thing that Xpressflower have same-day and 24-hour delivery services to save the day.

My wife’s birthday was but one of the many times I ordered from Xpressflower. A little later than that, I also ordered a grand opening  flower stand from Xpressflower to send to my friend’s newly opened business. During the grand opening, everyone was impressed with the flowers and asked where I got them—and without hesitation, I told them that it was from Xpressflower. Now, I’m betting they would be ordering from them too!
